What is detroit vipers?

The Detroit Vipers were a professional ice hockey team based in Detroit, Michigan. The team was a member of the International Hockey League (IHL) and played their home games at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

The Vipers were founded in 1994 and played in the IHL until the league folded in 2001. During their time in the IHL, the Vipers had success on the ice, winning the Turner Cup championship in the 1996-1997 and 1997-1998 seasons.

After the IHL folded, the Vipers joined the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) for the 2001-2002 season. However, the team struggled financially and was eventually folded in 2001.

Despite their relatively short existence, the Detroit Vipers left a lasting impact on the hockey community in Detroit and helped to build a loyal fan base during their time in the city.
